Learning Log Week 27

MATH:  I did Dreambox math.  I've been doing 100s, 10s and 1s charts.  I also have been doing some adding and subtracting and I've done it in the 100s and I thing I'm getting better.

LANGUAGE ARTS:  I read 30 minutes a day.  I have a new Iron Man book, and I also borrowed two books from the library.  One is to teach a dinosaur how to fly and one is about racing.  I also did spelling and wrote in my journal every day.

SCIENCE:  We made bread dough.  We put warm water in one and put cold water in the other one.  The cold one we put in the fridge.  It did not rise.  The warm on rose when we just left it out for awhile.  We made a loaf of bread with it.  The yeast likes it warm and dark.  You don't want to kill the yeast by getting it too warm so you just want to heat the water a little for the bread to rise.

ENGINEERING:  I'm working on some projects.  My dad is going to help me catch up.

HISTORY:  I learned about Montana and Nebraska.  Montana is a big state up north.  In the middle is Nebraska.
